Who this agreement is with
This agreement is between you and StepSync Solutions LLC for Chapterframe for Mac obtained directly from us. By installing or using the software, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it and contact support@chapterframe.ai; the 14-day refund policy and mandatory consumer rights apply.
License grant
After payment, we grant you a non-exclusive license to install and use Chapterframe for your own personal or internal business purposes on the Macs permitted by your purchased license and activation limits shown in the app or at checkout. You may make backup copies. The software is licensed, not sold; ownership of its code and branding stays with us and our licensors.
Purchase, updates and support
The app costs $199 USD once, including 365 days of updates and support. Purchase also starts an updates subscription that automatically bills $10 USD/month after that period until canceled. The separate updates-only subscription bills immediately. Provider, GPU and storage charges are separate. Cancel future renewals anytime before they occur. Cancellation does not revoke a paid, non-refunded app license: you may keep using versions covered by your purchase and paid update periods. New versions released after coverage ends require renewed coverage. Continued use does not guarantee compatibility with future operating systems or external services.
Activation and connectivity
Keygen handles license activation, validation and entitlement checks. An internet connection is needed for activation and some license checks, updates and provider features. Saved license information supports offline use where the app permits it. Deactivating a Mac frees its activation slot; it does not cancel billing.
Permitted use and restrictions
Do not redistribute or resell the software or license keys, sublicense access without our permission, bypass license controls, or remove ownership notices. Do not reverse engineer or modify the software except where applicable law or an included open-source license permits it. Third-party components remain governed by their own licenses and notices supplied with the app; those licenses take precedence for those components.
Your content and generated results
You retain your rights in your source material and creative work. We do not acquire ownership of your projects by licensing the app to you. You are responsible for permissions to adapt source works and use voices, likenesses and other third-party material. Review outputs before publishing; provider terms and applicable law govern any rights in generated output.
Services, reliability and backups
Generation and rendering services are separate services chosen by you. Their availability, prices, output quality and data practices may change. Keep backups of your library and media. To the extent permitted by law, the software is supplied as available without a promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce a particular creative or financial result.
Responsibility and consumer protections
Nothing in this agreement excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer guarantees. Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses caused by your unauthorized use, missing backups, or third-party services outside our control. Applicable law governs any other limits on liability.
Ending the license
You may stop using the software at any time. We may terminate a license for a material breach after notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy it where appropriate, or when its app purchase is refunded. Termination does not transfer ownership of your content to us. Subscription cancellation alone does not terminate a non-refunded app license.
Privacy, changes and contact
The privacy policy explains processing by Stripe, Keygen, Zapier and optional Google Analytics for Firebase. Optional analytics is not a condition of this license. Material changes to this agreement will be identified when offered with an update; this page does not retroactively remove purchased usage rights.
